Stephen Bates, Conservative candidate for Newcastle North was delighted to meet senior Government Minister Greg Clark today at the launch of the Conservative plan for working people in the North East. Stephen Bates said "we will grow the North East economy and create 50,000 extra jobs here by backing small businesses with lower tax and supporting the North East's strengths, including manufacturing, science, chemicals and agriculture. We will boost family incomes for 1.1 million in the North East by cutting people's income tax and we'll create 200,000 apprenticeships. We'll also ensure there are 20,000 new good primary school places and offer working families 30 hours of free childcare a week. We'll also support home ownership with our Help to Buy and we'll extend Right to Buy to all 160,000 housing association tenants in the North East. Plus we'll also invest £4.5 billion in our transport systems along with a £50 billion investment in high speed. And this growing North East economy will enable us to go on increasing NHS funding in each and every year, fund our state pensions and pay for other vital public service. There is only one way to stop Labour in Newcastle North this time around, and that is to vote Conservative" #ivotebates
